Name: Michael J. Kohns Date: April 15th, 2008 Death Notice: Mr. Michael J. Kohns, age 53, passed away, Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at The Poppen Residence. He was born June 19, 1954 in Rhode Island to James and Eleanore (Bradley) Kohns and has lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. Michael was a member of Calvary Church and a member of Prayer Partners. He was a “Big” Michigan fan. On June 21, 1986, he married Kathryn Priest in Muskegon, and she survives him along with his parents; sister, Marge (Steve) Mead of Fort Wayne, IN; 3 brothers, Jeff (Sherri) Kohns, of NC, Tim (Linda) Kohns of NC, and Dan (Martha) Kohns of Gladwin, MI. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Hazel Priest; 2 sisters-in-law, Darlynn (Rick) Cooper of Muskegon and Rosanne Priest of Hart, MI; and many nieces and nephews. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Calvary Church with Pastor Bill Rudd and Pastor Jeff Kohns officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Friday at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 and one hour prior to the service.
