I will miss Gussie, my friend and mentor.Gussie always showed her trust in God for all of lifes trials. Gussies encouragement for prayer is one of the greatest gifts she has given me. Gussie always showed her appreciation for any help given to her.She always spoke highly of all her family. She was always gratefull for all they had done for her. I will miss the Schuler waitress luncheons we had with her. She was the greatest lady I was blessed to have as a friend. I will miss her cookies, our conversations, and most of all her friendship.Gussie will always be the greatest lady I have ever known. Her strength, friendship, appreciation, and love for God will always be the inspiration I will remember when I remember Gussie.##imported-begin##Ann Schippers##imported-end##

Aunt Gus had a vibrant personality. Her heart & home was always open to those who stopped by for a cup of coffee and everything sweet (cookies, pie, cakes, candy)
Her knowledge of our family history was invaluable to all of us. Her memory was as sharp as a tack until the very end. She was a smart card player!
Her Bible was always on the kitchen table not tucked away in a drawer or just out for show. It's pages were worn because they were read over and over again.
I'm sure she is visiting with our Lord and Savior right now.
She is also free from the pain she suffered from for so many, many years.
For years she would say, "I'm ready to die BUT I'm not in a hurry". The last time we visited the summer of 2004, she didn't say she wasn't in a hurry.
She was a strong and fiesty woman, I think I haved inherited some of her fiestiness.
My husband always enjoyed visiting with Aunt Gus on our trips to Grand Haven.
We will miss seeing her, but memories of her will always remain in our heart.

I will deeply miss Aunt Gus, whom I loved and adored very much. Aunt Gus is my Grandfather's Aunt (Bernard Jeske). When my Grandmother was still alive, she and I would visit Grand Haven often, and I remember visiting my Great Grandfather, and Aunt Amanda, but most of all I remember my visits with Aunt Gus. Aunt Gus taught me how to crochet (which I still don't do very well), and I remember how each room in her house was a different color. In her kitchen the light would reflect off the walls on a sunny day, because Aunt Gus would scrub the walls from floor to ceiling. I loved her whit and sass, and looked forward to visiting her. I believe the last time I saw Aunt Gus was when I visited my Grandfather & and his friend in Grand Haven one summer several years ago. She and I have sent letters back and forth over the years, all the way up until this past Christmas of '05, and I regret not having the chance to see her again before her passing. I also regret that I can not make it to Michigan for her funeral, but while she's looking down on us I hope she knows she will always be in my heart and soul, and all of ours. I will miss you greatly Aunt Gus. Love Always, Lisa##imported-begin##Lisa Jeske##imported-end##
