I met Clyde while working as a CNA for Norht Ottawa In Home Care, Private Duty a few years ago. He was always a pleasant man and happy to see me when I came to the house for his care. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.##imported-begin##Alicia Reenders##imported-end##
I forgot to mention when Clyde loaded us teens up in the station wagon and took us across the state to a Tiger's game -- twice! We all thought we were really livin'! --JL##imported-begin##Janet Lankheet##imported-end##
How I remember those special Sabbaths, so often, of our kid years I spent in your home--Clyde setting up the reel-to-reel George Beverly Shea music while your mom made those wonderful creamed potatoes! It was truly at your home that I learned what "Sabbath" should be. Your family always shared their blessings, from Dairy Queens to ice skates to recipes to rides everywhere and oh so much, all with warmth spread everywhere. If only we could fast-forward from the saddest day to the happiest day, reunion. But we'll keep soldiering on.That's how they raised you and you have each other now. Isaiah 57:1,2--how special. Love you all, Janet and Rod##imported-begin##Janet Lankheet##imported-end##
I was never fortunate enough to actually meet Mr. Spencer in person, but simply knowing his Granddaughter (Shari Creasey), makes me feel as though I've known him forever. Rarely a day goes by that Shari doesn't recall one of the million priceless moments that she spent with him, and truly bubbling with pride each time, she shares those beautiful memories with me. Being a grandfather myself, I can only hope and pray that one day my own granddaughters will remember me with even half the love that Shari and her family will forever feel for Clyde Spencer. He left behind a truly wonderful legacy.##imported-begin##Jim Wakeman##imported-end##
Clyde was a man of few words, but a pleasant smile on his face when greeted or when visiting with him. He was a hard worker and always willing to help - no matter how "old" he was.
We know that it is so hard to lose someone you love so dear, but we're thankful that we will soon see him and other loved ones we have lost to the enemy, and thankful that Jesus holds the keys to the grave.
Please know that we are thinking of you at this time of loss.
