David and I were best friends growing up in Muskegon. He loved sports and we spent many hours together playing baseball and other sports during our years together. One of my best memories was when his Dad Chuck Peterman took us to a Detroit Lions football game and we got to meet the Lions players including Earl Morrall, Yale Larry, Joe Schmit, Roger Brown, Gail Cogdill and many others in 1960 in Detroit.
David was a truly a great man who loved people and served God his whole life.
We are so glad that we were able to connect last October in Muskegon and see David and Melinda at their new home in North Muskegon.
God bless David and Melinda and we rejoice that one day we will be reunited with him and his family in the presence of Jesus of Lord.

I can't think of a better compliment than to say my brother David, reminds me of our Dad, who lived his life on a "higher plane," never looking for recognition, but leaving behind a better place. David's sweet spirit will live on in his beautiful, God-fearing family that he loved so much. What a joyous celebration it must have been as he entered the "pearly gates," his heavenly home, and was reunited with loved ones gone ahead.

Sadly, I had heard the news of David’s illness and I was so sorry to see that he has passed so suddenly. God certainly works in some mysterious ways but he will be free from pain and suffering. Dave Peterman was a Gift from God. He Lived and Ministered in a body that was filled with Christ Likeness. He was always patient, kind, helpful, humble, and encouraging in action, word, and deed. Dave never knew that God used him to help restore my faith in Christianity. Dave, many times was Jesus with Skin On, to me and my late husband John.
Thank You Dave,,and God Bless You Melinda for sharing, Dave's Talents. You made a Very Special Team, Never to be forgotten.

I am truly saddened by Dave's passing. I was fortunate enough to work with him during his last few years before retirement. Dave was a tireless worker who loved the Lord, his family, his community, and his lawn. He knew every street and every resource in Muskegon and never hesitated to share all he knew. Rest in peace, David.

What a kind and compassionate human being. He was the kind of co worker who jumped in to help a colleague or anyone in need. I remember that he like to laugh, loved Jesus and helped to make our grounds prettier. He loved his family very much. So glad I had the opportunity to walk this path with him. May the Peace of the Holy Spirit bring family comfort during this time of morning. We can look forward to seeing him again!

David touched the lives of many people in our coummuity. I have many fond memories working along side of David at CMHS and consulting with him about landscaping. David was a great example to others through his genuine, kind, and empathic nature. He was always so positive and willing to lend a hand in times of need. After his retirement, i alwasy enjoyed running into him and catching up on his life after CMHS. May eternal peace be granted unto him, Lord. May perpetual light shine upon him. Rest In Peace, my friend.
