Muskegon Fire Department Battalion Chief "91" has reported to his final call...91 responded and is now "back in". I remember a lot of the conversations we had in the Battalion Chief's Office down at the Muskegon Central Fire Station...Strong, Knowledgeable, Fearless...I learned a lot from you, Chief. Dear Sue and Family,
Denny knew everyone and everyone knew him. I first knew him as a kid in Bluffton. As adults, we were so very blessed to raise our children in the same, small community - in the dunes, on and in the water, at Bluffton School. Denny's smile portrayed everything about him - a warm, caring, fun man who just enjoyed life.

Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow. I had the honor and pleasure of working along the side of Denny and he will be truly missed. One of the highlight of his career was leading a team of Muskegon Firefighters to New York after the World Trade Center incident to assist the New York Firefighters.
I regret that I can’t be with you during Denny homecoming services. I am having surgery latter today.
