Lynn (Zlotnicki) And Richard Gibson
Jerry and Family, I will never forget when I lived in Vista California and one day I heard a knock on my door. Much to my joyful surprise stood Ed! I had been so homesick and missing my Idle Hour family. I couldn't believe my eyes!! Then Ed took me for a ride in a shiny Red Corvette. I got to see Jerry and meet his son in the Marines. It is a story I have shared many times. My husband Richard got to know Ed from his daily visits to Shell for his newspaper and that was a bonus. Richard got to meet and know the man who made his wife (a homesick girl from Michigan) feel special for a day. I will treasure that memory. I am sure he has started a round table in Heaven with Ginger Brege, Bob Cook and Marv Vanden Bosch ( yes, even Marv hahaha). I'm sure he is holding a chair for us all until we join him. He had a long, love filled, life but his absence on Earth will be deeply felt. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
