I always called Betty my Muskegon mom... ever since her days on the Catholic Charities board. A wise woman and caring woman indeed.

In the buzz & activity that surrounded the Exeter St. home w/ 12 Donovans & Bootsy your Mom was the bright light & steady force behind it all. I counted your home as my home away from Highland Ave. I know my folks thought so highly of Betty. Uncle Cheery was a little different ("If you want to do that go down in the basement") but you could always tell how much she loved him. You were blessed to have her, Mark Chasson
Betty was one of the first people I met upon moving to this area 16 years ago. Her warmth and loving sharing of her stories - especially those about her 12 children
with whom she planned gatherings once a year - no spouses, no grandchildren - were both engaging and inspiring. I became a member of Hackley Freebed and always enjoyed the times we shared. A truly blessed part of life in this area, a tribute to her Irish heritage also. My love to you all
To all the Donovans, how could I ever forget the wonderful Betty whose friend ship with the Blauer family has continued, even past Claire's death in November 2015. I received her Christmas card, as I did every year, last year. She had a wonderful view of life. Peace to her, and the whole clan. She was a one and only.
