When Irene worked at the gift shop at Mercy Hospital. I worked at Mercy frequently went in the gift shop. Irene was always there with a smile always ready to help. She was a lovely lady. She will be missed. Condolences to your family. Jacky Darrow.💙💖
To Erin (of whom I graduated with at Muskegon Catholic years ago) and Patrick along with all the nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren: Working at Mercy Hospital for many years, I would stop by on a semi daily basis to buy a candy bar at the Gift Shop of which Irene (who worked as a volunteer with my Mom for many years and then longer after she left) would recognize me immediately and either call me by name or wave me down though the window in the hallway as I passed by always taking the time to ask about how I was doing along with showing great concern for my parents and how they were doing also. She was a very warm hearted and caring person who could carry on a conversation for quite a long time. She always knew what I was after when I entered into that Gift Shop! I pray that her faith and trust in God has brought her to eternal life in heaven where she can be at peace sharing her love for others as she has always shown with me.
Erin, Pat and families - I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother. Jim and Irene were quite the neighbors and enjoyed the fun times with the Hahns', Mulders', Schambers', Tardani's, etc. My deepest sympathy.

Erin, Pat, and family, so sorry for the passing of your mom and grandmother. She was certainly the keeper of the family history and always had the most interesting stories. She will be missed by all of us. You are in our thoughts - may peace be with you. Love, Tim and Annette Paul.
