Judy and I are sorry to hear of Jack passing. What a fun guy he was. He will be missed by many.
My fondest memory of Jack ( who somehow got tagged with the moniker 'Bohunk') is our hunting trip up to his uncle's cabin in Freesoil way back in the '60's. Tim DeMarse (upon who Jack hung the moniker 'Benarse'), Jack and I had just passed through Custer and there was a big, muddy ominous looking dip in the road ahead and Tim hollered out "just gun it!", and those words lived in infamy as a rally cry for tough times ahead. Needless to say, we spent that rainy night axle deep in that mud hole. We were rescued the next morning by a farmer headed to church with his young daughter who said "no daddy, we'll be late!". The 3 of us had some fun times together. Godspeed Jack, 'just gun it!'.
Jack and I went to St. Michael's School, and Catholic Central together. I lived a few blocks from when he was on Jefferson St. We've shared many experiences and he will be greatly missed. Condolences to the family he dearly loved.
Such fond memories of Jack and Julie. Peace and prayers for the family.
