Rebecca Penney
Jacque was a truly wonderful person and a great friend. We met her shortly after we moved to Spring Lake and became fast friends; it was almost like we had known each other forever. When Rich had by-pass surgery, our house was undergoing a remodel and was not suitable for his recovery ( walking space, etc),. Jacque was very gracious and welcomed him into her home for an entire month. She also went on many trips with us - Florida, Savannah, 2 cruises, Mackinac Island every year, and more. We were lucky to have her join us.
When COVID made it difficult to get together, she and I would talk on the phone nearly everyday and often twice a day. It helped both of us to cope with being so distanced from our families and others. She had serious health problems towards the end of her life but she was very courageous and had a strong mental attitude. She was determined to live and enjoy life after the pandemic. She was looking forward to more family get-togethers, more dinner outings, and yearned for a trip to see George and Debbie.
She may have been 80 but she was still, like always, enthusiastic about what the future would hold in store for her.
Missing her greatly, Becky and Rich Penney
