Jeff & Mike, sorry for the loss of your mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you both
Jeff and Mike,
I am so sorry about your loss of your mom. She was a wonderful person, and you lost her much too soon. She always had a ready smile and that keen sense of humor. She was such fun to know, and we enjoyed the wonderful times our family shared with yours. Everyone who knew your mom will always have warm and fond memories of her. She was a truly special person.

I was dismayed to read about Jane's passing in the Tribune. I only knew her through my shopping at D&W, but she was such a bright spot. Her warmth and sense of humor were always apparent. I'm so sorry to know that I won't see her there any more, and I offer my condolences to all who were close to her.##imported-begin##Pat Ostradick##imported-end##
Jeff & Mike, I am so sorry that I never got an opportunity to meet your mother. Suni has told me wonderful things about her and how she welcomed her and Bailey as if they were her blood, which means so much being that were so far away. Keep your memories close to your heart and cherish everyday with each other. Cindy (Sunis mom).##imported-begin##Cindy Lee##imported-end##
I live in Grand Haven, but learned only yesterday of Jane's passing. I echo my twin sister's (Mary Mead Hiner's) sentiments, and only add to Jane, that her journey can now continue. She will be missed.##imported-begin##Shirley Mead Graeser##imported-end##
Jane lived next door to me for my entire life. Due to parental conflicts, I was always told to stay away from her until I started working at D&W with her in 2004. I spent 3 years at the store and got to know Jane so well.
She always asked how life was going, how everything was, she cared about what was going on in my life more than some people who have known me my entire life.
I moved to California in July of 2007 and she joked that she wouldn't be around the next time I came back to visit. We laughed it off and sure enough I came back for Christmas and she was still around. She wanted to know everything that was going on, always wondering what was new. Her endless attitude and spunk will always be in my memory.
She made the joke again that she was sad I was leaving and gave me a big hug. She made the same joke, "You never know Jeremy, I might not be here next time you come back". I wish I wouldn't have laughed it off that time. She was a truly amazing person and touched so many different people's lives. She will be missed...

For Jane's family,
My prayers are with you during your time of sadness. Having gone through elementary, junior high and high school with Jane, I remember her as always cheerful, friendly, kind and well loved.
I am so sorry this has happened, but I know keeping her happy moments in mind will help, in
time, to lessen your grief.
Very respectfully,
Mary Mead Hiner

Mike and Jeff, your mother has been part of our lives as long as we have lived in Grand Haven. I spent many fun evenings at her house playing ladies bridge. Her dry sense of humor kept us all in stitches. She cared for our children Jeanie and Jeff. She became an institution at D&W- we waited in her line to have her check us out. She was part of our Sunday ritual - getting milk and the paper and talking to Jane. As you can see by the number of remembrances printed, your mother touched more lives than even she realized. God bless your families and give you comfort in this time of loss.
Love,

Even though I am out of college and can (pretty much) take care of myself, you will always be "my babysitter." I still remember trying to get the birds out of the tree in your backyard...and instead getting all the bees out of it, graduating from naptime and getting to go upstairs to watch cartoons and, of course, individual boxes of (yucky) raisins.
Shopping at D&W will not be the same without going to your line for a chat!##imported-begin##Emily Sigsby##imported-end##
I know I've already left a message. but, i just wanted Jane's family to know that i was thinking of her ALL Day today. I wanted so badly to attend her memorial. but, i didn't have a sitter for my son.
I just wanted to let you all know that i was there in spirit. I'm sorry I was unable to be there in person.##imported-begin##Gena Cortez##imported-end##
