Cousin Marji and I grew up in Binghamton and lived in the same neighborhood through High School. My wife, Dodi and I attended her wedding to Carl and, shortly after, went our separate ways as we each pursued careers in different locations. We connected sporadically over the years but until last year, didn't write or talk for about 30 years.
We reconnected last year via phone and email and I was so pleased to listen to this person with the same practical, earthy attitude that I remember from our very early years. I feel such a loss of a promise that now cannot be kept - a promise of mutual reminiscence and of just comparing our views and how they've changed or remained the same over the years.##imported-begin##Larry Newman##imported-end##
