I just heard of Nora's passing... Nora was a beautiful person, always a smile on her face, she was wonderful with the children during the school year at OV Early Elementary, in the summer, at Every Woman's Place. Rest in peace Norma, thank you for your years of service, as a volunteer, in the Foster Grandparent Program. Former FGP Supervisor Marvel Nelson.
I shall miss Norma. She was an amazing woman! I cherish many memories. She was a very caring person with the biggest smile.
Prayers and love to the family of Ms. Norma. Ms. Norma was full of life. I enjoyed being in her presence at the Queen Esther Missionary Baptist Church. She was very kind and loving. A smile and hug she always had to give. I will miss seeing her clapping her hands, singing and praising the Lord. Prayers for peace and comfort. She is safe in the arms of the Lord.

I will forever miss Norma'a gentle spirit and calm demeanor. She was incredibly kind and generously shared her gifts and talents with anyone in need, regardless of status. Norma was a "rock star" volunteer. She was always willing to do whatever it took to make a difference in the daily lives of her students. Norma tended to find the silver lining and lived with adversity, always sustaining her positive attitude and beautiful smile. I am grateful to have experienced her love and friendship first-hand. I will forever carry her woman of God spirit in my heart.
Ms.Norma was such a sweet person, always had a smile on her face. I remember when she first became a member of Queen Esther Missionary Baptist Church family, from that day until her final rest she was a very active, dedicated and loved member. She also blessed us with some of her crafts from time to time. Her church family will miss her dearly.
Grandma Norma was an AWESOME addition to my world. We worked side by side in the Peace Place where her calm voice and kind spirit softened even the toughest little cookies in our building. She lead with love, but was also "no nonsense"!! Intuitive, thoughtful and caring - she was excited about coming back to work her craft here at OVEE. I will definitely miss her.

Mom, you are and will be in my heart forever. You have always been there for me, supported me, even though there were times I am sure you didn't approve. You never criticized me or judged me and I tried to do the same for you and and anyone else. I hope to follow your footsteps in strengthening my faith in my senior years as well as keeping active and maybe someday I can be a Foster Grandparent someday!
