I am going to dearly miss my friend Olive. She was my movie buddy. She cared more about other people than herself. As I look around my kitchen I see little gifts she sewed for me. Thanks to her I have lots of masks. When I was sick recently, she checked on me everyday. Even brought me a chicken dinner. Bless her heart. She was a generous, gracious, intelligent lady. And, I loved her very much. Her family can be very proud of her.
Oh Olive! Iām going to miss you! You were always so generous, making things for Alyssa, keeping treats for Teddy, bringing us flowers, trinkets and treats. Iām going to miss your slightly naughty humor. Iām going to miss our conversations about politics, world events and books. Iām going to miss the joy you found in the children, flowers, and animals in the neighborhood. You have been my neighbor since I was a teenager. You were a friend to my parents and then to me. Iām so grateful to have known you. Our hearts are with your family. You will be missed!
āUs ladies here at Wayneās Deli are going to miss Oliveās smiling face and happy demeanor every Friday morning when she came in for coffee with all her lady friends after swimming! She always had a treat or trinket she made to give us every holiday season!!
We saw many of her quilts, embroidery and crafts she had made, she was so very talented!!! Her stories she told, still makes us smile!!

Olive was our next door neighbor for over 24 years. I just wrote in her Christmas card that she was the best neighbor a person could ever ask for. She was always bringing me her paper when finished with it, making me a mask for every season, letting me borrow eggs (farm fresh) and always asking if we needed anything. Olive was our angel here on earth. We will miss her and all her acts of kindness. Our condolences to the family, you have lost a truly special person. Olive will be greatly missed by all at the Aqua Waves class. I met her 2 and 1/2 years ago when I joined the class. She instantly made me feel welcomed, and always made everyone smile and laugh. We will always think of her when we do the piano playing finger exercise in the pool, and dedicate it as Olive's Concerto. Thank you, Olive, for being such a bright light and great friend to me and everyone.

I taught at McLaughlin for only a couple of years and got to know Olive there. She and I attended an educational workshop in the Lansing area. We spent the day together and shared our love of teaching. It was a memorable day.
