Our Auntie Rita was like a second mother to Jeanne and I. Fond memories of our trips to GR and Detroit during the hot months of summer with no seat belts, air-conditioning, water bottles or ipads. Our Mom and Auntie Rita would take turns at the wheel as we anticipated the party at the end of our journey to be with our Aunts and cousins!
Auntie Rita and our Mom were more than sisters.....they were best friends. Never a cross word between them. They shared caring for all of us kids. Memories of rides home from school to daily lunch at Busia and Jajas (I still love canned spaghetti). Somehow there was always enough food to go around.
Go in Peace and Love Auntie Rita as I know God has a special place for you in Heaven. Thank you for modeling to all of us your strong faith in God.....Love Diane and Jeanne
I have really enjoyed being with her, working with her on funeral luncheons, the ladies guild at church. She certainly love her animals. She was such a dear heart and a very special person to me. I will miss you Rita.

Our Lady of Grace parish was blessed tenfold when Rita chose it as home after St Joe's closed. I loved to hear her sing as she praised God. She was our "Cantor in the pews" for sure. Rest in Jesus, Rita.
