Elaine; Jim, Joy, Gwen and family - What a wonderful joy to have had Bob in our chain of friends. It was a pure joy, along with a chuckle or two, to try and help Bob get the greatest amount of mileage out of every gallon of gas! Never knew anyone who would go to such lengths to squeeze out one more mile of each gallon. Elaine - we both laugh out loud as we think about the plan that never materialized, which I think was dreampt up by you, to syphon some gas out of the tank one day, then the next day add a few gallons - just to see Bob react!! It would have driven him absolutely nuts!!
We will truly miss Bob - but all the memories will still keep him very close. If there is ANYTHING we can do to help - PLEASE call.

To Aunt Elaine, Jim, Gwen, Joy and their families

I always enjoyed when you and your family would come to visit us in North Carolina. We got to spend some good times together and catch up on family news and happenings. You are our life-line to the north, keeping us in touch with family spread out over the area up there.

Bob was such a good person. He was always willing to help someone in need and he enjoyed being able to help them.
He liked being able to fix things, whether it was some mechanical problem with something or a family member in need. He liked to help.

May God watch over you and yours during this time and always. Bob is in a better place now, free from the ills of this world. May this somehow bring you peace during this difficult time.

You and your families are in my thoughts and prayers.

Family & Friends of Robert (Bob) Goodburn, Their was a celebration Monday night in Heaven, as God called home one of his very special souls. But left the rest of with a great hollow in our lives. A hollow we can only fill with the love and memories Bob left us. My prayers are with Elaine and the familes of Jim, Gwen & Joy, who have given so much to make things easier for Bob & Elaine. And for the wonderful Grandchilren who have pitched in to make things easier for Bob in his fight to stay with us as long as God would allow. (Who said that young people today don't care?) Elaine, I didn't know Bob very well, but he was always very nice to me when you both would come down and visit Kay and Ray. I know he is now at peace and well again. Mr.Goodburn....to this day I could never call you Bob..or Mrs. Goodburn, Elaine....I always respected you two and you were very special in my life...from being neighbors...to babysitting for you...picking blueberries...sliding out behind your bluebeery field...riding go carts down your road...always had a great and memoriable time when the families were together...you will be missed alot...but now your with mom...so please watch over us.....God Bless...##imported-begin##Brenda Griffin##imported-end##
