Rudy was a very special person in the lives of so many people and his memory will live on through them. I saw and greatly admired the positivity he provided to the girls, now women, of the “Pirates” soccer team. He will be fondly remembered.

Mrs. B, Jen, and RJ-
Rudy was truly one of my favorite people. His love and support as a coach and as a friend meant the world to me growing up, especially during the years I was struggling so bad inwardly. His positive attitude and advice helped me keep my head up.
I haven’t seen Rudy in a long time, but I feel this loss, and my heart and my love goes out to you. I wish I could give you all hugs and tell you how sorry I am in person. And I wish I could give you Dove bars- because that’s what Rudy used to reward us with for a well-played tournament game. Your family deserves all the bars.
With Love,
Lauren (Yaeger) Pierce

Remembering Rudy’s presence as a ref for soccer throughout my sons childhood. Then had the delight to work with Rudy, and being on one of his safety teams at Herman Miller. He always took the time to stop and chat, and share his positive energy. Deep condolences to his family. He was very proud of you all, and dog too.
It was a privilege working with you Rudy and I’ll miss your words of wisdom. God Bless ya big guy!
So sorry for your loss. I have many happy childhood memories of visiting Grandma Bartels because we could hang out together and walk around the neighborhood causing mischief down in the , now filled in swamp at the end of the street.
good to read his passionate spirit and love of life was ever present.
