I knew Russ' brother Rich Johnson better but got to work with both of them for awhile and admired them both. I know Rich passed a year ago or so but it got me wondering about Russ. Very sorry to hear of his passing but glad to hear it was only recently and that he lived a good, long life. My condolences to the family.

I have many wonderful memories of great discussions with Uncle Russ over the years. When I was visiting Michigan last Christmas week, we talked over dinner, as we had often before, about the solar cycle, short-wave radio, and many other things. His wit and wisdom live on.
