Sally Hammond, age 61, a long-time resident of Grand Haven and Spring Lake, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 20, 2009 after a brief bout with brain cancer. She was born in Salem, Massachusetts to Warren and Betty Gill. Read Obituary

You know we care and offer sincere sympathy. Sally was "Fun" and often with a quick smile or sometimes a frown would let you know that "she understood" and agreed or didn't! It was great having her in the CCC Choir for those special years. She was an inspiration to many of our singers AND the director too!

Tom and family,
We arrived home on Saturday night after several weeks on Beaver Island. As we read through the newspapers, we were so shocked and saddened by the news of Sally passing. How difficult to imagine such a vibrant and loving personality being gone. We're so sorry we missed the gathering in her garden...Jean tells us it was a beautiful tribute to her memory. Ken recalls a special memory from so many years ago when they were baptised together at Christ Community. I remember those crazy days at Peach Plains when we were all such young and eager beginning teachers. I remember when you and Sally started dating - we were all so surprised! What fun it was to watch the two of you meld your different life styles and then to see you go on to create such a wonderful family.

Was shocked and sad to read of Sally's
death. Haven't seen you guys for a long time but always remember my days at Peach Plains. Met you both before you were married, and watched as you started your family. Sally was a delight to be aroud an I know how much she will be missed.
