We will always hold a special place in our hearts for Shannon. The 13 years he spent at camp with us were so memorable because he gave it all he had. We remember his devotion to camp and to the kids that he mentored. He was a part of a very special time at camp. We remember seeing him in his army uniform, from head to toe, just beaming. He was very proud of that. We also remember his treks out in the golf carts for target practice with his buddies, James, Mark, and Chuck. It is heartwarming to know that he made such strong friendships from his time at Camp Copneconic. It can be said that he made a difference in many children’s lives. Years pass so quickly, and we lost touch with Shannon. It doesn’t diminish our memories of him.l, however. We would like to extend our sympathies to his wife and sons. It looks like he had a beautiful family. Only diehard fans of Shannon, will appreciate this, but Fritz says he is going to crack open a can of Mountain Dew today in his honor. Such sad news. May you rest in peace, our friend.
