One of my favorite memories of Grammie was how she would make me her special apple pear sauce. Whenever I wanted some she would always find time to make some for me, or go check all the way in the basement to see if there was any left. She was such a good baker, I would do anything to taste her treats again. Love you Grammie! From, Emily.
We have many memories of Christmas Eve at Sue and Dons home. Susie always went out of her way to make it special. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. Sue was a very special friend. We went through grade school and high school together. We were in Brownies and Girl Scouts. We enjoyed playing tennis and working on our class reunion committee for 50 years and having lunch each week for 40 years. I will miss her so much and always cherish the wonderful memories.

Don and family- I first met Sue when I was her 5th grade student in 1972 at Maple Grove School. We reconnected in 1992 when she came to the funeral of my brother, who was also a student of hers. We then started having dinners and visits and our friendship kept growing over the last 31 years. I am SO grateful to have the privilege of calling her my friend. She is of the most caring and thoughtful people I have ever known.
Sue was always driven by her strong faith and it showed in everything she did. She would never hesitate to help someone she cared about, and had an uncanny talent for making you feel special by always adding her "personal Sue touch to gifts/cards.
She never lost the "teacher" in her and no matter how old I got, she continued to be a non stop cheerleader and get me to challenge myself to be the best I could be. I will always cherish the memories I have of our friendship.
Heaven just got one amazing angel!
Rest in peace my friend. You are greatly missed.

We shared a very special time the 4 of us during our years at Fort Riley. We spent almost every day together and although many years have passed the connection was still strong. Since Sue passed I find myself going back to those days with a smile on my face. We shared holidays, vacations and evenings. We played quite a bit of bridge with Sue physically pushing a reluctant player (myself) to the table laughing the entire time. God now has other plans for Sue but she will be in our hearts forever.
