Without a doubt, Waynes passing this week has added to the great joy that permeates everything in the presence of our Lord! We can easily imagine the sound of Wayne's hearty laughter echoing through the halls of glory. But to those of us who remain in the Muskegon area, it is a great loss. At a time when, more than ever, this once great land needs men of integrity, conviction and unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ, she has lost one of her finest. While giving God the glory for a life that has been so well lived, we too are grieving this tremendous loss. We are praying that nothing less than the presence of God Himself will fill the void that has been left in the hearts of Tom and Susan and their family as well as Doris and the rest of the wonderful Blanchette clan. Please know that we love and admire you all and that our hearts are bound to yours during this mingling of joy and sorrow.##imported-begin##Dave and Vicky Eikenberry##imported-end##

Dear Doris,
God bless you, dear one, and fill your heart with His divine comfort. Incredible memories flood over us as we think of Wayne's life and impact on us. In reading the other letters, Wayne's tender sweet laughter is often mentioned. Strange as it may seem, I remember most his tender tears--tears shed over his love of what God was doing in our ministries in Burkina Faso. After each message I gave, Wayne would come to greet me with tears in his eyes, a big hug, a check crushed into my hand, all coupled with a promise to pray. Wayne had a heart for the lost and made us aware of the ministry of those in the church who sent us overseas. We will miss him so. We treasure every memory of our dear friend, Wayne Blanchette.

Dear Doris,Nancy,Randy, and the entire Blanchette family,
Thoughts and fond reflections are of you and yours as you celebrate Wayne's life here and after. Wayne was always impressive as a kind, quiet, gentle-giant type of a man and a beacon to those who knew him.
I remember playing in school bands with Nancy and Randy whose folks were the whirlwind workers of the Mona Shores Band Parents. Wayne was always selling coffee, hot chocolate and hot dogs at the football games. Many kids in the band section got hot chocolate when Wayne dipped into his own pocket. I admired Wayne when I was a student.
I had the pleasure of working with Wayne for nearly ten years at Sealed Power Corporation. He was an icon in the "aircraft" building and was a cheerful, smiling example of a blessed man not only by the shipping docks, but throughout the plant.
I admired Wayne when I was a young man.
He should have never had to wonder if he touched the hearts of those he dealt with at the Rescue Mission. Having worked with prisoners and parolees for twenty plus years, I have met dozens that passed through the Mission at various points in their lives. Many remembered Wayne and I'm sure they were remembering a non-judgemental, gracious man, reaching out to them.
He lifted them as he lifted us.
I admired Wayne as I became a Husband, Father, and Grandfather.
What a great legacy he leaves.
Respectfully, Rick
Verily I say unto you, As you have done to the least of these my brethren, you have also done unto me.
