Bill, I sincerely think you would have liked knowing how much I missed you this Halloween. Listening to you passing out the Slim Jim's last year was the most fun. I have not heard from Jenny yet. But that's alright one day she may realize I am a classy woman. Oh you would want to know that Barak Obama has been elected, I can see my wiping your tears of joy had you been here to witness the first American African voted in by an overwhelming majority. I miss you very much William Woodward Leister. It is wonderful to know you are no longer in pain. I hold the picture of your smiling face in my mind, you know the one I wanted to capture on camera. Bill, you came into my life at a point where I did not want any newcomers, any outsiders. You were at a disadvantage with me from the start. I was a teenager who never had a father and just believed that was the way it was supposed to be. I'm not sure when it happened, but you won over myself, my sister, my family and most importantly, my mom. You were absolutly my dad, it took a couple of years for me to realize that you meant well by me. I remember when I was about to leave for the Navy, you were the only person I was close to in my life that totally understood why I needed to leave Muskegon and how it was the best way for me to become a man. You let me be myself, knowing that sooner or later I would grow up because of the people I was raised by. I am so glad I brought the kids by your house in April, it was sad for me, but I believe it helped you, which is the one time the tables were turned. The kids did love you and are completely aware of who you were. Your mind, your willingness to help, your love of them did not go unnoticed. Emma used to love spending nights at Grandma's and Grandpa's. Kaylynn really was probably the closest, she truly loved you. I wish things would have not turned out the way they did, but I learned from you in that aspect as well. You will always be an equal member at my family's table. The farther I get from Father's Day, the more your lessons seem to hit me. am sorry for your loss.

just cause someone dies it does not mean that they are no longer with you, they're with you all the time, they live inside you, in your thoughts, they fuss with you in your dreams, you are never alone, they inhabit a space that is just the other side of a thin veil.

I know death, am no stranger to it, am not afraid, it's just another place where we go.

My friends and family that have passed before me await my return.

I would not mind leaving but those fruits of her body that she left with me to raise need me, one day they won't, my job on earth will be finished, my lord will call me home.

glad you were connected, am sure that friend is appreciative, I sense his appreciation that you sent people to check on him.

Love never dies, it's the thread that connects this life to the next.

i know you must be devastated right now, but just know that if you need to talk im here to listen, im a good listener and will be here for you.. you will be in my thoughts at this time and i have sent out and email to the roomies to let them know what has happened and be warned your mail box will be filling up i asked them to think of you at this time and send you a card or a note to let you know they were thinking of you as well..

I am so sorry to hear about Telasc from Deb ... it must have been a huge shock to you and I hope that you are ok - my heart goes out to you. What a good and dear friend you were to him that you were in touch so much and that you were able to alert people. I am sure that the shock must be awful for you and it seems banal to say that I am here for you if you need anything but it is heartfelt ...
