A. Christine Anderson

A. Christine Anderson, age 91, passed away at Sanctuary at McAuley on February 3, 2022. She was born on August 4, 1930, to Clyde and Pearl (Kelly) Watkins in Winston-Salem, NC. Christine was a member of Calvary Church in Muskegon since 1984 and First Reformed Church for many years prior to that. She spent many years singing in the choir. Prior to 1977, she had worked as an office clerk for Clark Floor Machine for 16 ½ years prior to retirement. Christine enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, loved hummingbirds – watching and collecting and especially loved being with her family. On June 23, 1951, she married, Robert D. Anderson in Washington, DC and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2011. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Kathy McQueen, Sandy (Tim) Shugars; grandchildren, Jerry (Dawn) Showers, Mike Shugars, Lindsay (Nick) Badgley, Lisa Siefert, Valerie (Jason) Kropf and Brian (Alicia) Spier; 6 great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Jerry Spier. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Spier; 2 sisters and 1 brother. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held for Christine 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Calvary Church 213 W. Oak St., in Fruitport with Pastor Keith Sandison and Pastor Bill Rudd officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service at church. MEMORIALS can be directed to Calvary Church Memorial Fund. Burial will take place at a Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
