Mrs. B. Ruth Luker's Obituary
Mrs. B. Ruth Luker, age 91, went to be with her Heavenly Father Sunday evening, December 28, 2014 in Muskegon. She was born August 2, 1923 to John H. and Bessie (Hemphill) Moultrie in Union City, TN, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. Ruth loved the Lord and was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoyed working at Muskegon Awning, a family business, gardening, painting, and cooking, but most of all she loved her family. On December 24, 1940 she married Chester “Marshall” Luker, and he preceded her in death on September 28, 1995. SURVIVORS include Diane “DeeDee” Luker and her children, Sean (Hannah), Kory (Shawn), Jennifer (Matt), Anne (Greg), and Joylynn; Sue (Gordy) Moen and their children, Lora, Alicia (Steve); Darcy Luker and her children, Shane (Heather), Josiah (Sarah), Jacob, and Rylee; 22 great-grandchildren; a niece and nephew in TN, Marilyn Thomas and Bobby Moultrie. Ruth was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Tim and Mike Luker, and a grandson Jon. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 2, 2015, at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Church officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
