Camilo E. "Chico" Gomez's Obituary
Camilo E. “Chico” Gomez, Jr, age 68, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He was born July 23, 1955 in Muskegon, MI to Camilo E. Gomez and Velma J. Gibes. Chico was a drummer for many years in numerous bands. He also worked in maintenance at several apartment complexes. His passion was music and performing, living in his favorite places in Alaska, and fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his “peeps”. Survivors include his daughter, Diane (Philip) Gomez-Falls; 5 brothers, Tim (Missy) Gomez, Stan Gomez, Tony Gomez, Dan (Olga) Gomez, John (Stephanie) Gomez; 5 sisters, Marlyn Ujlaky Gomez-Collis, Maria (Joel) Gomez-Soliz, Kim Vanderlaan, Tina Blackmore, Georgia (Jerry) Edie-Gomez; several nieces and nephews including Madison, Daniel, Bella, Jaden and Carly; close friend, Dana Berggren; and special canine companion, Juju. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2024 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442, with Rev.
