Carl and Ruth Ann Squires

Carl Squires, age 84, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021. Ruth Ann Squires, age 69, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022. They are together forever. Carl was born October 15, 1936 in Muskegon to Avery and Ardis (Perkins) Squires. Ruth Ann was born November 14, 1952 in Grand Haven to William and Annabell (Carver) Raymond. Carl worked over 40 years at Acemco, Inc. and retired as a supervisor. Ruth Ann was in business cleaning homes and was a caregiver for many years. Ruth Ann volunteered at Cat Tales as well as fostering many kittens. Carl enjoyed hunting and fishing. Carl is survived by a daughter, Susan and was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Charlene and Terry. Ruth Ann is survived by grandson, Eric Scott; her sister, Charlene (Howard) Ansay; 2 nieces, Kimberlee (Dan) West, Luann (Allen) Lucas; and 1 nephew, Bill (Wendi) Cooper. Ruth Ann was preceded in death by 1 son, Michael J. Willis; her parents and 1 sister, Donna. A Combined Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 14, 2022 at Fruitport Christian Reformed Church, 3520 Pontaluna Rd., with Pastor John Huyser officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place at Spring Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the ALS Association.
