Carol A. Goldsborough

February 24, 1938 - February 17, 2022

Carol A. Goldsborough, age 83, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. She was born on February 24, 1938 to Carl and June (Mathews) Miller in Muskegon, MI and has remained a resident most of her life. She attended Muskegon Heights high school and was in the graduating class of 1956. Carol took various career paths, but she dedicated many years working as a saleswoman at Sanborn’s Jewelry. On April 27, 1957 she married the love of her life, Robert Goldsborough at Trinity Lutheran Church. Together they cherished 60 years of marriage full of love and laughter. Robert preceded her in death on June 9, 2017. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), and her Birthday Girls Club. Carol enjoyed her High School reunion committees, specializing in decorating. She also enjoyed golfing and had a love for music and concerts, especially country western. Above all things, she loved spending time with her family and friends at various social gatherings. Carol had many friends and easily made new friends everywhere she went. Her “Sanborn Family” was extremely important to her. She will always be remembered as the kindhearted woman going out of her way on her scooter just to say hi. She is survived by her 4 children, Marilynn Grinwis, Nancy (Dave) Luter, Ray Goldsborough and Lisa (Ron) Crabtree; 7 grandchildren, Katlin, Jacob, Chelsea, Angie, Ashley, Zachary and Cole; 3 great-grandchildren, Athrun, Levi and Franklin; brother, Ronald (Nancy) Miller; sister, Bonnie (Don) Kandalec; brother-in-law, Mike Ohs; and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Robert Goldsborough; brother, Johnny Miller; sisters, Cheryl Ohs and Connie (Herm) Rosema; and her dear friend, Don Sanborn. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. The family invites you to attend visitation from 5-7:00PM on Tuesday, February 22,2022 or 10-11:00AM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the funeral home.
