Edward Louis Fris

Edward Louis Fris, age 87, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2022 at Christian Care in Muskegon. He was born on January 5, 1935 to Raymond and Evelyn (Heiftje) Fris in Zeeland, MI. Ed was a member of Fellowship Church in Muskegon. Ed owned and later sold Camshaft Specialties, Inc., in Grand Haven and officially retired in 1998. He enjoyed everything mechanical from building engines and dune buggies, to flying his airplane and racing cars. On September 10, 1954, he married Louise M. DeYoung in Muskegon. She survives him along with six children, Debra Fris, Susan (Don) Schrumpf, Cindy (Mike Miller) Fris, Mari (Bob) Kempker, Doug (Lois) Fris and Mike (Cori) Fris; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Judith Stone, Rosemary Juhl and 10 nieces and nephews. The family is planning a private service with burial at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS in Ed’s name can be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
