George M. Brown

George M. Brown age 94, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022. He was born on March 10, 1928, to George and Elsie (Sumner) Brown in Six Lakes, MI. George proudly served his country in the United States Army. On June 3, 1950, he married the former Mary Baker, and together they spent 66 loving years together until her passing in February of 2017. George loved to travel and go on cruises. He and Mary have been on 30 cruises touring the world throughout their lives. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. George was a wonderful and caring father who loved his daughters and left them with many cherished memories. George is survived by his daughters, Susan M. (Wayne) Chubb, Linda L. Jensen (Steve), Vickie L. Hasse (Ron); six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; siblings, Dale Brown, Marcella Christensen, Leta Guild. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Mary L. Brown; brother, Eugene Brown; and siblings-in-law, Dale Christensen, Doris Brown, Arthur Guild, and Betty Brown. A memorial service for George will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 11:00 AM at The Lee Chapel of the Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 with visitation taking place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Pine River Cemetery in Rolland Twp., MI.
