Gerald W. "The Builder" Kramer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gerald W. “The Builder” Kramer, age 78, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022. He was born on June 10, 1944, to Louis and Frances (Teunis) Kramer in Muskegon, MI. Gerald graduated from Grand Haven High School class of 1962. On December 13, 1963, he married, Linda Lou Sternburgh-Braun. Together they cherished many years filled with crazy adventures, love and laughter. At the age of 14, Jerry started building homes with his father. Being skilled in both woodworking and contracting, he started Kramer Builders and used these talents to make a lifelong career for himself. When he could, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling, especially up North, where he liked to press his luck from time to time, gambling or playing Craps at the casino. Above all things, he loved spending time with his family, friends and pup, Carmella. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather; and dear friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Linda Kramer; 4 children, Mark (Kelly) Kramer, Aleschia (Patrick) Loughridge, Heidi (Tal) Holmes and Lesley (Scott) Fisher; 10 grandchildren, Cole, Paige, Conner, Sydney, Tiffany, Taylor, TJ, Amaya, Jake and Ryan; 2 great-grandchildren, Alba and Tommy; brother, Robert (Ruth) Kramer; sister, Betty Dushane; and beloved dog, Carmella. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Frances Kramer. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5:30-7:30 PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
