Judith L. Paquin, age 83, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday February 6, 2022 at the Hume Home of Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on August 3, 1938 to Carleton & Carmen (Essenberg) Bogema. “Judy” graduated from Muskegon Senior High School in 1957. She was a lifelong member of Samuel Lutheran Church in Muskegon. She volunteered her time and was always willing to help anyone in need. Bill & Judy enjoyed 45+ plus years traveling to Lakeland, FL to watch the Detroit Tigers in spring training. They even witnessed the Tigers win the World Series in 1984! During MSHS football season they attended every game including many championships at Ford Field. They also had many great memories traveling to Hawaii, Mexico, Bahamas and Mackinac Island. Judy is survived by her children Laura (Nate) Kuhns, who welcomed her into their home and gave her the best care until April of 2021. Her son, John (Deb) Paquin; 6 grandchildren, Kevin, Lexi, Sierra, Jacob, Matthew and Jessica; great-grandson, Sawyer James; sisters, Linda (Leigh) Strong and Vicki (Dave) Snyder along with many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Bogema. The MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 22, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. This special day would of been Bill & Judy’s 62nd wedding anniversary.
