I was just a silly seventeen year old girl when I met Judy and even then she made such an impression on me. I loved the sound of her unique voice especially when she said my name, it just made me feel all lit up inside. I couldn't help smiling and feeing excited when I was in her presents. I looked forward to getting to see her when we both worked in the Old Muskegon mall and to get that amazing mom hug from her.. she so left an impression on my heart. I can only say I regret not knowing her better than I did.

Foley and Toby... There simply aren't words to express what an awesome mother you were blessed to have. Although I had only known her a couple of years, she was sweet, gentle, gracious, and impossible not to love. First she loved her children followed later by Laura, Mabel, and Peter.....she was so happy to have all of you in her life and loved you all unconditionally. She treasured her family and friends, giving her heart to each one. They say the more love you give, the more love you have to give and Judy was a perfect example. I feel blessed to be able to say I knew her. May God grant you peace and comfort as you travel this path. Your Aunt Becky and Uncle Bud loved their little sister so very much and I will keep all of you in my prayers.

Judy, Judy, Judy….what a truly unique, one of a kind lady. Full of beauty, grace, charm, strength, wisdom, love and laughter….. and most of all devoted mother of two wonderful sons. You graced us with such a beautiful heart and a smile to match. I couldn’t have ever hoped for nor had a better sister-in-law. You touched countless lives with your warm spirit, generosity and kindness over the years. You were loved greatly and will be mightily missed on this earth but your love and spirit live on through your family, friends and everyone who crossed your path. It saddens me deeply that I will not be able to be at your life’s celebration this Saturday, to share the love, loss and laughter with family and bask in the light you generated. I will be there in spirit and send Foley and Toby and the rest of the family my love and will continue to lift them up in prayer. I have been listening to a CD called Going Home by Daniel Kobialka which has helped me through many difficult times in the past and perhaps I’ll listen to a little Connie Francis in memory of the last special visit we shared.

Judith Schuler was one the kindest, most soft spoken and cordial parents I met in my teaching career. She raised two great boys who loved her dearly. She will be missed. My sympathy and prayers go out to Foley and Toby for their loss.
