Kathleen Lacy

Kathleen Marie Lacy, age 76, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022, in Muskegon, MI. Kathy was born on February 14, 1946, to her parents Frank and Leona (Hack) Wootton. A lifelong Muskegon resident, Kathy graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School in 1964. On July 16, 1966, she married Richard Lacy, and they spent 55 wonderful years together. Kathy loved to volunteer in many places, including working as a librarian at Central Assembly, being a playground monitor at Oakview School, and helping at the Muskegon Rescue Mission. Kathy loved making all sorts of crafts, the arts, and reading books, but her greatest joy was always encouraging others. She found a lot of joy in seeing someone change under an encouraging hand and seeing how the Lord loves them and walks with them. Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Richard Lacy; two sons: Jim (Gretchen) Lacy and Dave Lacy; five grandchildren: Carroll (Luis) Spano, Brian Austin, Paul Austin, Holly Lacy, and Cody (Brian) Austin-White; 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; and brother, Robert Wootton. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; son, William Lacy; and brother, Donald Wootton. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Kathy will be taking place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 12 at Hope Reformed Church (1878 Evanston Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442), with VISITATION taking place an hour prior.
