Leora E. Williamson

June 13, 1932 - January 27, 2022

Mrs. Leora Ethel Williamson, age 89, entered into the gates of Heaven on Thursday, January 27, 2022. She was born on June 13, 1932 to Noble and Bertha (Cook) Moon in Big Rapids, MI. Lee’s home was always open for anyone wanting to visit and made sure to have hot coffee and pistachio cake for those who came to chat with her. Lee was a caring friend who was always there when you needed her no matter what time it was. Most importantly was Lee’s strong faith and love for her family. She was an active longtime member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church and loved being a part of the church community. Lee’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved them fiercely and cherished the time spent with them. Lee will be deeply missed by her son-in-law, Stephen (Valerie) Vallier; daughter-in-law, Wendy Williamson; grandchildren, Chelsea (David) Huck, Donald Vallier, Jodene Mathews, and Christopher (Courtney) Vallier; great-grandchildren, Jovie, Henley, Harrison, Jamison, Max, and Lucy; sister, Elna Nieboer; and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Williamson; children, Janice Vallier and James Williamson; and siblings, Ellen Johnson, Marvin Moon, Thelma Coverly, Arlene Hastings, Orpha Teerman, Nathan Moon and Erwin Moon. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30PM, Friday, February 4 at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church: 4861 Henry St. Norton Shores, MI 49441. Visitation will be from 12:00PM – 2:00PM at the church.
