It has saddened me to learn of Dr. McArthur's passing. I always enjoyed speaking to him and knew of his dedication to his patients and to the staff that served him. My sympathies to his family and friends.

I have many memories of Dr. McArthur as we were growing up and even into college years. He was always very kind and took the time to talk with me, asking me how things were going. My condolences to the McArthur family, sending thoughts and prayers. God Bless all of you.

I have fond memories of Dr. McArthur, having had him deliver my 3 children. He was always so nice and caring as was his wife, Edna, and sister-in-law, Dorothy, all special people.

Dr. Pete McArthur delivered me into the world and he and his wife Edna, and sister Dorothy, became lifelong friends of my parents, my brother and sisters and our children. They had a charming way of making us feel right at home, whether it was a picnic meal on their enclosed back porch complete with watermelon and ice cream for dessert, or checking what was growing in Dr. Pete's vegetable garden. We never felt rushed, and they would lovingly take the time to play catch and board games with my son, and never missed a baseball game or an occasion to send a greeting card to any of us. They graciously accepted the wildflower arrangements I came up with from our yard. I can almost picture Dr. Pete enjoying hiking around heaven, with the refreshing creeks and waterfalls, and listening to a few of my Dad's jokes.

When I ran Riverside Nursing Centre, Dr. McArthur was my medical director. He was a fine physician and always considerate of us nurses. Edna and Dorothy were such wonderful women and helped me whenever I came to the office for signatures or his help. Dorothy, I'm thinking and praying for you, it's been a rough year for you. I hope you get my message that I thank you and your family for being part of my life. God bless you and yours.
We remember Dr. Pete and Edna and Dorothy fondly. Dr. Pete made a house call for Roger 55 years ago and was our family Doctor until his retirement. One can not say enough about what a wonderful and caring Doctor he was. Also what a great office to visit with both Edna and Dorothy working there. It was like having a Doctor and office that was home! There are many fine Doctors in this area but there was never one that could really take the place of Dr. Pete and his office.
