Peter P. Riesenbeck

January 22, 1946 - January 20, 2022

Peter Paul Riesenbeck, age 75, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, in his home in Grant, MI. He was born in the Netherlands on January 22, 1946, to his parents Jacob and Trintje Riesenbeck, and immigrated to the United States in April of 1957. Peter started his own sanitation company, West Michigan Sanitation, which he operated for over 40 years before retiring in 2013. He was a very social person who belonged to many clubs, including the Polish Union and the Lions Club. He at one point was the President of the 7th district of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and he was currently serving as the treasurer of the Fruitport Eagles #3666 club. Some of his hobbies included bowling, golfing, and dancing. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his girlfriend of 18 years, Sandra Clark; six children: Peter Riesenbeck Jr., Robert (Shannon) Riesenbeck, Maria Gregory, Paula Riesenbeck, Alicia (Josh) Takens, and Tricia (Kevin) Maday; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (John) Fernandez; and three nieces/nephews: Johan, Michael, and Mallory. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Riesenbeck. A time of VISITATION for Peter will be taking place from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM on Thursday, January 27, at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI, 49444), with a luncheon to follow at the Fruitport Eagles #3666 club (3354 S.
