Robert McQueen, age 76, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022. He was born April 10, 1945 in Muskegon to Floyd and Dorothy McQueen. Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Enterprise during Vietnam. He worked as an asphalt contractor for over 20 years for Rickert’s Black Topping, Inc. Bob was a life member of the VFW Post 7729, was an avid race car fan, hunter, bought and sold antiques, and for 33 years announced the races at Thunderbird Raceway. Bob made a difference in many people lives, not monetarily, but with gifts of love and his time. His character spoke volumes. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. SURVIVORS include his sons: Bobby McQueen and Bryan (Tracey) McQueen both of Muskegon; 3 sisters: Bonnie Marshall, Beverly Rickert, and Patricia Hansen all of Muskegon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation for Bob will be held from 5-8 PM Thursday, February 10, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100. A private family graveside will be held in Egelston Twp. Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Alzheimer’s Association will be appreciated.
