Ruth Hinojosa

October 30, 1956 - January 31, 2022

Ruth Hinojosa, age 65, met her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 31, 2022 after courageously battling cancer numerous times. She was born on October 30, 1956 in Plainview, TX and was raised by her grandparents, Nicanor and Ernestina (Soliz) Hinojosa. She attended Weslaco High School and was in the graduating class of 1974. In 1993, she made her way to Muskegon, MI and has called it home ever since. She began a life-long career working for ADAC Automotive in 1993 and dedicated 27 years before retiring in 2020. Ruth was a faithful servant of Our Lord and was a longtime member of Central Assembly of God Church. She had the heart of a servant and trusted in the Lord for strength and guidance. Ruth enjoyed spending her time reading scriptures with her aunt, Elvira or watching gospel shows on the television. She loved shopping and going out with her family enjoying delicious meals at the newest local hotspots. What she loved the most, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren & daughters. She also enjoyed summer cookouts & other family gatherings with her nieces and nephews. Ruth was a strong-willed and determined spirit who had a willingness to achieve what she set her mind to. Her unconditional love and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Sonia Hinojosa and Brenda (Roberto Patino) Hernandez; 5 grandchildren, Karissa Contreras, Armando Patino, Alasanté Ogren, Destin Ogren and Adriano Patino; aunt, Elvira Hinojosa; siblings, Criselda (Alex) Hinojosa-Rivera, Elicia, Florentino, Naomi, Juan, Roberto, Yolanda, Hector and Ricardo; nieces and nephew; Eliza, Rolando and Krystal; and other dear family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elva and Florentino; sister, Ruby. A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held on February 12,2022 at 11:00 AM followed by a luncheon both at Central Assembly of God, 896 Home St., Muskegon, MI 49442.
