Shirley J. Fairfield Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Shirley J. Fairfield, age 88, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2022. She was born on April 26, 1933, to Allerton and Rose (Lemieux) Goit in Muskegon. Shirley worked for 30 years as a dedicated LPN at Muskegon General Hospital until her retirement in 1992. On July 22, 1995, she married Roy Fairfield and they spent 26 loving years together. Along with her husband, Roy, Shirley is survived by her children, Vickie (David) Foster, LuAnne (Harry) Sloop, Gordon (Jolyn) Johnston; stepsons, Kevin (Karen) Fairfield, Kyle Fairfield, and Keith (Debbie) Fairfield; son-in-law, Clarence Korson; 23 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her previous husband, Clayton E. Johnston; daughter, Carol Korson; and son, Gary Johnston. A memorial service for Shirley will take place on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Fifth Reformed Church (2330 Holton Rd.) at 3:00 PM with visitation taking place one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to either the Harbor Hospice Foundation or Fifth Reformed Church.
