Sophie M. “Susie” Horn, age 95, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Christian Care Living Center. She was born December 26, 1926 in Muskegon to Frank and Bertha (Sidock) Slowik and lived her entire, life in the area. She married Lloyd W. Horn on April 18, 1947 and he preceded her in death on April 17, 1988. Susie enjoyed gardening, knitting, square dancing and ran the Bingo for VFW Post 446. She was also active at the VFW in Hesperia. Survivors include 2 sons, John Horn, George (Cheryl) Horn; 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 37 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Jibson Immanuel Baptist Church (7980 Evanston Ave.) with Pastor Mickey Fehler officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to Jibson Immanuel Baptist Church.
