Teresa L. Whelpley

Teresa L. Whelpley, age 52, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 2, 1969 to James and Sheila (Rigsby) Fordham Sr. in East Point, GA. On December 6, 2019 she married the love of her life, James Whelpley in Florida. They cherished many years of love, laughter, and adventures together. She had a creative and artistic spirit and enjoyed spending her time drawing and painting. She had a love for plants and flowers, especially roses. She also loved fishing and butterflies. She was known for being a great cook and was well versed in homemade southern meals. Teresa had a kind heart towards animals and also enjoyed traveling. Her bubbly and vivacious spirit will truly be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, James Whelpley; her beloved cat, Lil’ Bit; 4 children, Cristy Toloza, Mark Hadley Jr., Jamie Rarick and Brandy Flynn; 10 grandchildren; her Mother Sheila Miller; and many dear friends.
