I knew of Bill only through my shopping at Meijers. He was always so friendly and helpful-a true gentleman!
I winter in Florida and my daugher in Grand Haven broke the sad news to me and I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to his family and friends.##imported-begin##Ellen Thumma##imported-end##
Like so many others, we will remember your dad as the smiling face at Meijers. But our fondest memories are all of the good things he did for God and his fellow Christians for so many years at St. John's Lutheran Church.##imported-begin##Elwood & Mary Bishop##imported-end##
Bill hired me to work at Meijers when I
was 17. This job helped me to get a leg up in life. It gave me money for a car, college, and a start in life. Later, I served with him on the Bd. of Education at St. John's Lutheran. Bill was a fine man and I'm better for having known him. Rest well my friend. Job well done.##imported-begin##John Hierholzer##imported-end##
I worked for Bill at Meijer Market in the mid 60's prior to graduating from GHHS and joining the Marines. I will always remember his professionalism and his sense of humor.
