Frances 'Fran' Elna Kalman's Obituary
Mrs. Frances Elna Kalman, age 82, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 11, 2009. She was born December 31, 1926, in Villisca, Iowa to John and Ruth Delaney. Fran was raised in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where she married Oak Kalman on November 25, 1945. Oak preceded her in death on May 16, 2001. Fran was a long time member of Northside Bible Church where she had served as deaconess, member of the social committee, and greeter. She was a homemaker who loved to bake. Above all, Frances loved taking care of her family. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (James) Hall of Twin Lake; her daughter-in-law, Carol Kalman of Fruitport; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; a sister, Neila Vesser of Puyallup, WA; 2 sisters-in-law, Mirelle Conklin of Cheyenne, WY and Lois Delaney of Oregon; many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Abbey. Fran was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra; her son, John and grandson, Todd. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 6:00 PM Sunday evening at Northside Bible Church, 1937 Whitehall Rd. with Pastor Lowell Wood officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
