One of the very few teachers I will always remember. She was intelligent and funny and I was very fortunate to have her as a 9th grade English teacher. I only realized today that she passed several years ago. What an incredible legacy. Thank you, Mrs. T, for you gift to the world.
I cannot think about "Great Expectations", "The Gift of the Magi", or "The Cask of Amontillado" without thinking of Mrs. Tomasiewicz. And without her as a teacher, I may never have thought about them at all.
Mrs. T. was a very special lady. She had an amazing gift for teaching and positively influenced the minds and lives of so many. I had the privilege of being her student for two years at Mona Shores and counted her class among my favorites. I can recall several of her lessons clearly, but more than that, I recall the example she set of professionalism and caring. And, the constant encouragement to not settle for the ordinary, but to reach for the extraordinary. My sympathies to her friends and family. Laura Aikens.
We join so many in sharing the loss of a wonderful teacher, friend and Laker Mom. Our family enjoyed memorable moments for decades with Mrs.Tommo...hours of fun at Chtistmas time in the etc. Shop, playing cards at the kitchen table, gathering crews to set up for Laker Dinner-Dance fundraisers, fabulous fall football times, and harrowing, hilarious Halloween hoopla! You'll be missed every day. You'll be resting in peace and, Mark, Mom will be that special angel on your shoulder and her loving spirit will stay in you heart! Jacque brought a true pride to the teaching profession. Shared her love of the written word with so many people. She was a true friend to many, and always seemed to put the needs of others before her own. I am happy that I was included in her circle of friends. My prayers go out to her family and friends. She will be missed by all of us.
I will always fondly remember Jacque as a colleague and friend. The Mona Shores family is very saddened by her passing.

I remember Mrs. Tomasiewicz as a very good substitute teacher at Mona shores public schools. All teachers wanted her to come teach when they were gone because she was such an awesome teacher. I will miss her.
