Dear Allen Family,
I was only an acquaintance of Moira's through a mutual friend, the late Jane Schroeder. Both Jane and Moira were old enough to be my mother, but after a certain point in life age makes no difference at all. I would sometimes see Moira when I popped in to visit Jane on Coles Park. And when Jane was no longer able to drive, I became the designated driver on one occasion so that she could visit Moira at her lovely home.
It was always a pleasure to see Moira, either in concert with Jane, or running into her (perhaps at Meijer's) on my own. She was such a lovely, confident, and I would say, elegant lady. And she was immensely (and rightfully) proud of her family.
My condolences to you all.
