We at Sytsema Funeral Homes know that losing a loved one initiates a time of transition for you and your family as you seek to mend, heal and adjust to the changes brought on by the death of a loved one. As a means to assist you and your family further we are honored to offer aftercare services to help during these tough times. Sytsema Funeral Homes would like to introduce you to Ginger Wolffis our Grief Counselor.

A Personal Message from Ginger

I have lived in Muskegon all my life. I married my high school sweetheart, Roger Wolffis, over forty years ago. We had four children, three boys and a girl. Two of our children died prematurely. Our baby boy, Bryan James, died just hours after birth and our son, Daniel Scott, was killed in a car crash when he was 18 years old, while a college freshman.

My grief journey is the catalyst for the work that I do with those who are grieving. It has been my privilege to be a co-founder of Camp Anew (, a four-day summer camp for children ages 6-14 and 13-17 who have experienced the death of a loved one. I have been blessed to be the grandmother of eight, and know firsthand the depth of loss, and the height of love. It will be my honor to share your journey of grief with you.
