Grampa Scheel was a very smart and I will miss him giving me his knowledge on investments. I used to love going there on vacation. We would sit around the dinner table and I would pick his brain. The one thing that will stick with me is that he would eat a bowl of oatmeal and one slice of wheat toast for breakfast every morning. I will miss him greatly!##imported-begin##Nicholas Grossenbacher##imported-end##

I didn't know my Great-Grandfather as well as I wish I had the opportunity to do so, but I do have a couple of memories of him. I remember this one year, my Great-Grandfather and my Great Great-Grandmother was down here in Missouri visiting my Grandparents (Gary and Gail Grossenbacher) for a Thanksgiving celebration. There was a ton of the family down here for it too-so some of you guys probably remember that Thanksgiving. For some reason, Great-Grandpa, and Great-Grandma was in the kitchen with me. Great-Grandma offered me some coffee. (This was after she got paralized.) I thought this was weird and gave a questioning look to my Great-Grandpa. He said it was fine and that I should go ahead and take a sip. So I did. Coffee is gross cold, so I did not like it. It might not seem like much of memory, but I was young at the time, and I remember him telling me it was alright. I also did not have the opportunity to see him weekly or daily, but I would if I had lived closer. My other memory of him was earlier this year when I went up to Michigan to go to Aunt Elizabeth's funeral. I didn't know Aunt Elizabeth, but I really wish I did. We met over at Great-Grandpa's house after the funeral and had pizza. We had a talk about his surgery, but he seemed confident that he didn't care if the surgery killed him or not because he had lived a good life and he was old enough to have done everything that he had wanted to do in his lifetime. I wish I could be more like him in that way. He taught me not to leave knowing you are not satisfied in life. He was definitely satisfied in life. I hope before I die that I am satisfied with life too. I love him so much and I really do wish I knew him better than what I do. I will always remember him and that main lesson he taught me. May he rest in peace.-Anastasia Chaky##imported-begin##Anastasia Gail Chaky##imported-end##
