Charles Louis Scheel's Obituary
Mr. Charles Louis Scheel, age 84, passed away Sunday evening, December 11, 2011. He was born May 21, 1927 in Fruitport, MI to Louis and Amalie (Purat) Scheel. Mr. Scheel worked for the U.S. Post Office as a clerk for many years before retiring. On August 21, 1956 he married the former Margaret Sanchez in Michigan City, IN and she preceded him in death on January 19, 2006. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Cherylann Bussey of North Muskegon, Charles “Chuck” Scheel of Muskegon, Karen (Johnny) Thomas of Florida; 2 step-children, Jean (Ken) Robbins of Muskegon, Gail (Gary) Grossenbacher of Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, John Scheel of Kalamazoo; 2 sisters, Irma Veenstra of North Muskegon, and Gladys Betty Bostrom of Florida. He was also preceded in death by 3 step-children. Private Family Services will be held. Inurnment will take place in Mona View Cemetery.
