Douglas Norwood Brondyke of 63430 W. Fish Lake Road, Sturgis, MI, 49091, formerly of Grand Haven passed into the presence of his Lord Friday, Dec. 29, 2006. He was 81. Douglas was born in Muskegon Dec. 9, 1925 the son of the late Read Obituary
Mrs. Brondyke, Karin, Tim, Brent & Nikki: It has been so many years since I've seen most of you! I was so sorry to hear that your dad/husband had passed away. I had last seen him up at the hospital in GH while he was visiting his brother.

Oh My. I lived and was raised in Sturgis. I came to Grand Haven out of college for a teaching job which I was very lucky to get. I have been here ever since. Doug was my first principal at Robinson. I teach PE. Retire this year. He was such a kind soul. Always thought of him more as a minister than a principal. Good man. My deepest sympathy to all the members of Doug's family. He was the first principal I worked for in Robinson School in 1965. He was a true gentleman and the best school principal I worked for in my 30 years. One time I helped him put out a fire that was treatening his barn. We admired & respected this big, quiet man who loved the Lord Jesus Christ. His determination to follow the Lord & influence his family to do the same is evidenced by the ministries now led by his 2 sons & the Christ centered homes provided for all his grandchildren.
